British number one Tennis player Andy Murray,has qualified for the semi-finals of the Men’s singles Tennis event at the London 2012 Olympics.
Murray defeated Spaniard ,Nicolas Almagro 6-4,6-1 to progress to the next round. He will now face the winner of the game between Novak Djokovic and Jo-Wilfired Tsonga.
The Scot broke serve in the first set,and took it from there,as Almagro became frustrated and hit his racket on a couple of occasions. It took Murray just 59 minutes,to dispatch the Spanish player.
Murray who lost the Wimbledon Finals on 8 July, to Roger Federer,has said that he hopes to win the Olympic gold to wipe off the disappointment of losing the Wimbledon Open.
The finals of the Men’s tennis event,at the London 2012 Olympics will be played this Sunday.
