UEFA Champions League - Semi-Final - Manchester United vs AC Milan - May 2, 2007

Manchester United midfielder Darren Fletcher,is on the verge of coming back to full football action,as he will train with the Scotland squad this weekend, which he will use to continue his comeback to the game.

Fletcher’s career seemed to have been under threat, following Sir Alex Ferguson’s comments that the player was yet to recover from a long-standing chronic bowel illness.

But Scotland’s manager Craig Levein, has included the 28-year old in their training team for an upcoming friendly with Australia .

“Darren will be with us at the weekend,” said Levein. “He is back in training and he played 45 minutes in a practice match last week.

“He is not in the squad because he has not played for Manchester United but he will come back and do a bit of training with us.”

Fletcher has not played football, since the stomach illness forced him out of the game last November.
