Nigeria might not be winning Gold in London,but Team Nigeria has refuted claims that the country is involved in black market tickets reselling at the London 2012 Olympics.
There were unconfirmed reports,at the Olympics that some countries’ have their delegation tickets in the hands of black market operators at the London Games,with Nigeria believed to be amongst the nations involved.
Chef de Mission of Team Nigeria, Dr Patrick Ekeji moved swiftly to debunk such claims as he called the Local Organising Committee, who were dumbfounded about the rumours. ‘’We do not know anything about that and we don’t act on rumours’’, they said.
Team Nigeria’s contingent described the rumours as “baseless” as the National Sports Commission and the Nigeria Olympic Committee gave Nigeria’s tickets exclusive rights to WAKA NOW.
