Falconets players passes dope tests

Falconets striker Desire Oparanozie, came out clean in the dope tests, carried out on her by FIFA, at the U-20 Women’s World Cup in Japan.

After the game against Korea Republic On August 19,Oparanozie’s urine sample was taken for tests alongside compatriot Chidinma Okoro,but results showed that both players are clean of any drug enhancing performance.

Such is the case at every FIFA competition, where two players are randomly picked from both sides after each game for a test.

Falconets coach Edwin Okon said after the outcome of the result: “l am happy with the results. It is a good one for the team especially at this crucial time,” said coach Okon.

So far at the competition,Oparanozie has one goal to her name,and could have had more,if she had been clinical in front of goal.

She was one of the players,that got to the finals of the last Under 20 World Cup,where they lost out to Germany.

Nigeria will take on Mexico in the quarter-finals, on Thursday by 8.00am for a place to advance into the semi-finals.
